Seismic Philanthropy was founded by Ben Klasky. After serving as CEO at several nonprofit organizations, Ben began his work in philanthropy at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, on an assignment to help increase the giving of some of the world’s wealthiest individuals.
Ben has both an MBA and a Masters in Education from Stanford University. He has taught graduate courses on Nonprofit Management and Social Entrepreneurship at the University of Washington. And he began his career as a Teach For America corps member in Louisiana. He is an active volunteer, and has sat on over ten boards.
